Dr. Kirk Anthony Kalogiannis received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rutgers University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University.  He completed a residency in advanced educational training at Boston University Medical Center and received a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS).  He also completed an oral surgery internship at Boston City Hospital as well as several implant dentistry programs. Dr. Kalogiannis has been involved in implant dentistry for over 20 years and performs both the surgical and prosthetic phases. He has presented hundreds of lectures and hands on courses nationally and internationally in implant dentistry. Dr. Kalogiannis has published numerous articles in the field of implant dentistry in peer reviewed journals.  He was a former Clinical Professor at New York University College of Dentistry.   Dr. Kalogiannis has bona-fide credentials:  Diplomate & Board Certified by American Board of Oral Implantology, Board Certified by the American Board of General Dentistry, Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics.  He also received an Honorary Fellow from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for his exemplary achievements. Only 6 are chosen worldwide annually. He was Past-President of the Northeast District of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He was the first lecturer invited to teach anatomy, hemostasis, bleeding complications and management for many of the largest implant companies. Dr. Kalogiannis was an Officer in the United States Army and was selected and trained by the U.S. Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in the field of Aerospace Forensic Pathology.  He received certificates of recognition and commendations from the City of New York, Office of Chief Medical Examiner and from U.S. House of Representatives for his outstanding service and extraordinary, unselfish effort as a member of the Identification Unit whose responsibility it was to identify the victims of the September 11, 2001, attack at the World Trade Center and the crash of American Airlines Flight 587.   He is a practicing clinician and director of Park Avenue Dental, Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry in NJ. He also performs implant dentistry in New Jersey, New York, and Florida where he maintains dental licenses.
