Art DiMarco, DMD served as Director of the Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE) program at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, from 2008-2025. Until his recent retirement, he also served as Lead Supervising Dentist, Lecturer, and tenured Professor at Eastern Washington University’s Dental Hygiene department for more than 24 years.  Having taught and practiced for almost three decades, Dr. DiMarco has presented at the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference in Seattle and Bellevue, WA, at the Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver, BC, at the Inland Northwest Dental Conference in Spokane, WA, at the Idaho State Dental Association Annual Session in Boise, ID, at American Dental Education Association annual session in Seattle, WA, and for the Center for Life Long learning of the American Dental Hygiene Association. He is co-author of a local anesthesia text, Local Anesthesia for Dental Professionals, Pearson Education, a chapter in a leading dental hygiene text, a webinar for the Washington State Dental Association, and numerous peer-reviewed articles. He also serves as a frequent peer reviewer for journals and continues to teach courses for the RIDE program and for local and regional conferences.
