The educational teaching methodology used in this course is a lecture presented via live webinar in concert with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. In addition, audience participation will be encouraged and facilitated by group discussions as well as question and answer periods provided for at the conclusion of each section of the live webinar."

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a logical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of burns and traumatic injuries
  2. Develop a logical approach to the management of radiation complications
  3. Recognize traumatic injuries from both heat and cold
  4. See some unusual cases that even embarrass me (that may be an exaggeration)
  5. Recognize and treat lesions related to physical and chemical injuries
  6. Develop a logical approach to the management of chemotherapy complications
  7. Recognize oral sexual injuries
  8. Diagnose and treat osteonecrosis
  9. Recognize lesions found in pickers and chewers
