Course Description
Pediatric Dentistry
The successful management of deep carious lesions and/ or trauma on primary teeth and immature permanent teeth is critical in maintaining an intact, functional dentition in a pediatric patient. There are different treatment modalities and a wide variety of therapeutic medicaments that can be used for vital and non-vital pulp therapy in pediatric patients. This presentation will delve into pulp diagnosis and evidence-based pulp therapy options for pediatric patients.
The educational teaching methodology used in this course is live, interactive lecture presented via Zoom webinar with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the live webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts. In addition, question and answer periods are provided for at the conclusion of each section of the live webinar.
Course Objectives
At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:
- Learn to diagnose of vital and non-vital pulp in primary teeth and immature permanent teeth
- Implement effective pulp therapy techniques for pediatric patients
- Assess contemporary medicaments and their effectiveness in pediatric patients
