What is my Renewal Cycle?

DENTISTS (DDS, DMD) - The reporting period is changing from a 3 year reporting period to a 2 year. The current reporting period is July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.
DENTAL HYGIENISTS (RDH) - The reporting period is changing from a 3 year reporting period to a 2 year. The current reporting period is July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.
ASSISTANTS (RDA, CDA, EFDA) - "Effective January 1, 2020 the CE hours will be changing to the following: The reporting period is changing from a 3 year reporting period to a 2 year. The current reporting period is July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021"

How Much Continuing Education Do I Need?

DENTISTS (DDS, DMD) - "Effective January 1, 2020 the CE hours will be changing to the following: Dentist - Will need to complete 40 hrs instead of 60"
DENTAL HYGIENISTS (RDH) - "Effective January 1, 2020 the CE hours will be changing to the following: Hygienists - Will need to complete 20 hrs instead of 30"
ASSISTANTS (RDA, CDA, EFDA) - OMS assistants shall complete eight (8) hours

What, if Any, Are The Mandatory Subjects?

DENTISTS (DDS, DMD) - "Below are required: 2 hrs of Opioid BLS Ethics"
DENTAL HYGIENISTS (RDH) - "Below are required: BLS Ethics"
ASSISTANTS (RDA, CDA, EFDA) - Dental assistants shall have two (2) hours of infection control

Is There a Limit to The Number of Online Classes

For Dentists: No more than twenty (20) hours may be completed online. Interactive classes or webinar classes may, at the discretion of the Board, count as in-person. For RDH: No more than ten (10) hours may be completed online. Interactive classes or webinar classes may, at the discretion of the Board, count as in-person.
