Health and Safety

The educational teaching methodology used in this course is a self-study lecture presented via pre-recorded webinar in concert with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the pre-recorded webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts.

Practice and evaluate stretching and strengthening exercises and strategies intended to reduce risk of work-related injuries and to promote greater clinical control and efficiency.
Evaluate various physical signs and symptoms of cumulative trauma disorders commonly found in dental workers.
Understand the physiology of representative cumulative trauma disorders.
Compare ergonomic features of dental equipment and technology that benefit workers and patients.
Consider options to avoid eye damage and protect optimal vision.
Leave with strategies for personal ergonomic protection and improved clinical effectiveness.
