Course Description

The Oral Pathology Playhouse: Name that Disease and other Oral Pathology Party Games

This seminar is different from other Concord Seminars in that it is a self-assessment test that you grade yourself. Everyone gets 100%! At the completion, you will be an expert on the soft tissue and radiographic entities that every dentist and hygienist should know. Some interesting cases will “pop up.”

Be ready for a real oral pathology adventure. We go over the entities together in an interactive format. It gives you a chance to see what you really know and what you have forgotten since school. This is the test that I give the junior dental students that they have to pass at 100% proficiency to go on to the senior year. Are you ready and able to take the challenge? Let’s have some fun and learn material that every dentist and hygienists must know to be able to protect the heath and welfare of your patients.

A Patient Can Have as Many Diseases as They Pleases

This new interactive course for 2022 will present a potpourri of interesting cases seen by me or emailed to me over the past few years. In addition, some wonderful cases from previous years will show up. In this course participants learn how to describe a lesion, develop a differential diagnosis and treat the condition. I will show how I approach cases and arrive at a diagnosis. The audience, of course, will help me to diagnose them as I play the patient.

Some unusual “things” might pop up! A good time is to be had by all. Get ready to laugh, learn and make a major difference in the lives of your patients.

Dr. Svirsky’s sessions will include a lecture format to present the subject information incorporating numerous clinical examples to highlight the material. Personal anecdotes, lessons learned, and audience participation will accentuate key points. The interactive approach will include opportunities to ask questions, share information, and have further discussions throughout the day."
